WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU?

    Certifications and what they mean:

CrossFit Level I: I can train you in the CrossFit fundamentals and get you in the best shape of your life.  Olympic lifts, high intensity workouts that take half the time of other workouts but are far more effective, gymnastics, rowing, running, we do all that.

CrossFit Nutrition: I can help you lose weight and address performance issues via Paleo and Zone tenets and show you how to eat for performance (and look better naked!)

CrossFit Endurance: I can improve your cycling, running and swimming using CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance training and techniques.  Do you want to drop MILES and HOURS off your training while setting PRs in your events?  I can help you do that.  Want to learn to run more efficiently?  I can teach you that.

CrossFit Barbell: I can make you strong.  It's all about neuromuscular/muscle recruitment patterns, lots of muscle groups working in concert, your posterior chain and getting work done.  The barbell is the most ergonomically efficient way to work with weight.  If you can deadlift 400lbs, fireman carrying your buddy off the battlefield will be easier.  If you can clean 200lbs, you'll be able to jump higher.  Crazy how that works eh?  If you can press (shoulder press) 100 lbs getting that box of Tide onto the top shelf will be cake.

CrossFit level I, CrossFit Nutrition, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Barbell

NOLS Wilderness First Responder, First Aid, CPR/AED Certified

I am a Level I Certified CrossFit (@ original CFHQ) Trainer, CrossFit Nutrition (Robb Wolf) Certified, and CrossFit Endurance (Carl Borg) Certified, CrossFit Barbell (Mark Rippetoe) current Army ROTC instructor, former sergeant, paratrooper, military police dog handler and a combat injury-retired Captain in the Infantry. I've been a competitive triathlete, cyclist and skydiver and have 18 years of physical training expertise. I specifically used CrossFit training and techniques to overcome serious combat injuries. I'm not a 100%, but I'm a 100% better than what the docs thought I'd be. That's the "who am I and why choose me?" part.

The important part is all about you.

My goal is to help my clients become better, faster and stronger athletes by training them to be functionally fit which will translate into success in your normal activities as well as any competitive or non-competitive athletic endeavor. I am a trainer and instructor by nature and experience and I will do all I can to help you achieve your fitness goals. I have achieved great success using CrossFit techniques with my ROTC cadets. They not only on average improved their Army Physical Fitness Test scores by an average of 20%, but they are more functionally fit. This translates to future survivability on the battlefield as well as a healthier lifestyle.

CrossFit North Fort Collins (CFNFC) began as an idea: Bring world-class fitness training to North Fort Collins, Old Town and CSU. No concentration curls, no treadmills, no 42" plasma screens distracting you from actually working out.

We're small, and by small I mean just me, in my garage, at the park or on the track, but don't let this simplicity fool you. Equipment like calf-raise machines and hip-adductors are not functional. Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, a pull-up bar, an area for push-ups and sit-ups, a rower and plyometric boxes make for some pretty substantial and kick-ass functional workouts. If you think you are fit, I can program an exercise regimen that will challenge you. If you think you're out of shape, I can design a program and give you instruction that will help you become fit. Coach Greg Glassman and his wife Lauren have developed a system of achieving functional fitness that is unparalleled. The best part about it is that it is a dynamic system.  If something doesn't work, we get rid of it, if something works better than what we're doing, we'll adopt it.  I will challenge even the "fittest" of people using CF methodology. The old motto for the original CrossFit box in Santa Cruz California was "Mess You Up" and it will.  In a good way.

Here's how it works. I give you a free session. In this workout we cover some basics to prevent injury, and I then give you a "workout". Simple.  Each class is approximately an hour to an hour and a half. The workout is anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on which class it is. After those classes, we can sit down and look at other options.

Who can benefit from this kind of training?

Anyone who wants to put maximal effort into their fitness. If you are a climber, I can make you stronger and less prone to "pump". If you're a runner, I can make you faster. If you're a cyclist, I can make you last longer and sprint harder. If you want life-longevity, you'll get it. CrossFit has helped the elderly and near-elderly become more independent. It has helped people lose weight and gain muscle tone. All I require is dedication. I will give you my best and expect the same back. I don't want the person who wants to waste money by paying for a "membership" and never shows up. That's how the "fitness" business stays afloat. Sell memberships and expect that a high percentage of folks won't show up after a week. I'd rather have 5-10 hardcores that are focused on their success. If you are in law enforcement, fire-fighting, military, search and rescue or training to go into one of those fields, this is the best physical training for your occupation bar none. Thousands of Mil/LEO/Fire/Rescue personnel can and will attest to that. I give serious discounts to those who keep us safe from harm.
